Yesterday, reporters visited the production workshop of Yunhe Jincheng Wood Industry Co., Ltd. Rows of automated equipment operated efficiently, while the industrial internet platform transmitted real-time data on material flow, production progress, and quality control to the central control hub, enabling fully visualized and precise production management. This is a vivid example of Yunhe’s wooden toy industry advancing digital transformation.
“Nowadays, customers have increasingly higher demands for production data transparency and quality control. We invested over 4 million yuan to establish a unified production information management system centered on ‘Weiyun Intelligent Manufacturing’, achieving closed-loop management from production scheduling to logistics distribution, with production efficiency increasing by over 30%,” said Ye Chen, general manager of Jincheng Wood. He emphasized that digital transformation has become a “compulsory course” for enterprises to align with advanced manufacturing.
Similarly, Zhejiang Zhimu Toys Co., Ltd. introduced intelligent equipment such as automatic six-sided drills, engraving machines, polishing machines, and cross-cutting machines, transforming three production lines into industry-leading automated and intelligent ones. The company also built a multi-dimensional data analysis and application system integrating production management, order demand, and process flow, earning recognition as a provincial pilot demonstration enterprise for “machines replacing labor” in Yunhe’s wooden toy industry. “Through ‘machines replacing labor’, our management costs have decreased by over 30%, and efficiency has improved more than threefold,” shared Zhou Jingpeng, the chairman’s assistant, on the transformation results.
In the global wooden toy industry landscape, Yunhe holds a significant position, hosting over 1,000 wooden toy enterprises with an industry output value exceeding 7.5 billion yuan in 2024. Today, an industrial transformation centered on “machines replacing labor” and digital upgrading is revitalizing this wooden toy hub.
Currently, many enterprises in Yunhe’s wooden toy industry, like Jincheng and Zhimu, are undergoing similar transformations. As early as 2016, Yunhe introduced policies encouraging wooden toy enterprises to adopt “machines replacing labor”. Since then, support policies have been continuously refined, including the Three-Year Action Plan for Yunhe Wooden Toy Industry Development (2023–2025) and the Policies on Accelerating High-Quality Development of Ecological Industry and Digital Economy, providing strong momentum for enterprise transformation through equipment subsidies, technical renovation rewards, and R&D support.
To date, 95 Yunhe enterprises above designated size have achieved full coverage of digital evaluation 1.0. After digital transformation, these enterprises have reduced comprehensive production and operation costs by 10% and improved overall efficiency by over 10%. Moving forward, Yunhe will continue exploring an innovative model of “digital-intelligent design + high-quality manufacturing + independent brands”, vigorously promoting joint research in digital design, intelligent manufacturing, new materials, and new processes to enhance the industry’s innovation capacity and drive Yunhe’s wooden toy industry toward higher-quality development.
